Goodwood

It was the 3rd Duke of Richmond, who in 1802 first brought horseracing to Goodwood. Now more than 200 years later Goodwood is internationally acclaimed as being one of the most beautiful racecourses in the world. Renowned for its unique style and elegance, Goodwood continues to set ever higher standards of style and quality for its racegoers. Combined with this is an opportunity to drive cars on Goodwood Motor Circuit which is an extraordinary place. The only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form, it was sympathetically restored over a six year period to 1998 in preparation for the inaugural Goodwood Revival that year. Thanks to that investment, it is a unique and exceptional venue for track hire.

The programme includes:

• 25 minutes flying time
  (depart at 0915 hrs and return at 1845 hrs)
• Bacon butties and refreshments on arrival
• Briefing – A short briefing on the content, format and safety aspects of the day in the Old Control Tower Client Room overlooking the start line.
• The Alfa Romeo Challenge - on track familiarisation session, driving Alfa Romeo sports saloons. Guests start with an instructor lap.
• Single-Seater Drive - Guests will also drive slick tyred Formula Ford 2000 single-seaters.
• Each guest will then drive a choice of two of the following (subject to availability)

• Mini Cooper S Passenger Ride: Experience the new reincarnated Mini with its Supercharger and amazing levels of grip. The experienced instructors will give guests an unforgettable experience.
• 3 course buffet lunch will take place in the Control Tower. This includes 1/3 bottle of wine, mineral water and coffee.
• Use of fireproof race suits and helmets
• Event management and circuit marshals
• Paramedic attendance
• Public liability insurance (5 million) / Personal Injury £250,000 per head (Lloyds schedule E)
• Transfer from the circuit up to the horse racing track
• Richmond Enclosure badge at Goodwood race course, race card and 1/3 bottle of champagne per person

Note:

• 30th July and 7th Sept 2010 are dates when track hire combines with horse racing at the moment. However, additional dates could possibly be added. Please do enquire if you have other dates that would be more suitable. There are other driving experiences we could organise off circuit as well, combined with other racing fixtures.
• We reserve the right to substitute or remove cars and equipment from the above selection due to availability or operational reasons
• Minimum number is 9
• A member of The Vantage Point Group will be on site to assist with the programme.
